Wasatch Mountain State Park covers the mountains above Midway on the west side of the Heber Valley, a short drive from Heber City. It is a four season state park with something for nearly everyone. Golfers have four 18 hole courses to choose from, the Mountain and Lake courses at Wasatch Mountain and the Gold and Silver courses at Soldier Hollow. There are trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, plus an off-highway vehicle network. In winter the park turns to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Campers will find more than a hundred developed sites with restrooms and showers, along with cabins, cottages and yurts. The fall colors here are a local tradition worth the drive.
