Red Iguana is the Mexican restaurant most Salt Lake City locals name first when visitors ask where to eat. The original location on North Temple, just west of downtown, is a colorful, busy dining room known for its moles, generous plates, and a line that often stretches out the door at peak hours. The family behind it has since added a second Salt Lake City restaurant a few blocks away on South Temple and another in South Jordan, which helps spread out the crowds. It is open for lunch and dinner every day of the week, and it works equally well for a casual family meal or a first stop after landing at the nearby airport.
