Profile
The Park City Museum tells the story of how a silver mining camp became a ski town, right in the middle of historic Main Street. Visitors can step into a passenger train car to watch a short film on the town’s early days, walk through the old jail in the basement, and explore permanent exhibits along with changing shows in the Tozer Gallery. Kids can ask for a history detective activity to work through as they go. The museum is open daily, with closures on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and children 17 and under get in free. It is an easy, weather proof thing to do in Park City and a good way to add context to a stroll through Old Town.
