The Heber Valley Railroad is a historic scenic train that departs from its depot on the west side of Heber City. The Deer Creek Express is a 90 minute round trip with views of the Wasatch Back and Deer Creek Reservoir, and longer rides run into Provo Canyon. Themed trains fill the calendar through the year, including a pumpkin train and Halloween rides in the fall, the North Pole Express in winter, plus wine tasting and Monday night trains. Families love it because kids can move around, look out the windows and enjoy the entertainment on board. Popular trains do sell out, so booking ahead is wise. It is one of the best known family attractions in Heber City and a relaxing way to see the valley.
